1.) Describe your involvement in the Arabian horse breed as a volunteer, and what your accomplishments are:
Thank you for the nomination for the APAHA Distinguished Service Award, it is truly an honor. I have been very involved the past 7 years in fundraising for the Arabian Horsemen’s Distress Fund. Most recently I coordinated the AHDF Western Pleasure/Halter Trainer “Showdown” at USN. It was an extremely successful event raising approximately $350,000. We had an overwhelming response form the trainer teams, the sponsors, the bidders and the volunteers. My team mates in this event were JT Keller, Leslie Sommer, Carrie Fritz, Mary Trowbridge, Tina Chisholm and Pepper Proffit (to name just a few) In addition, I began the first Wine Walk to benefit the AHDF 7 years ago which has become a USN tradition. I have recently been asked to join the AHA Marketing Development and Promotion Committee and the Board of the Arabian Horse Foundation. Giving back is a very important part of my involvement with the Arabian horse and I am grateful to have had the opportunity work with so many of you. A special thanks to my husband, Bob, my Colonial Wood family and Jennifer and Josh Quintus.
2.) What are some of the highlights and successful moments involving the Arabian horse for you in 2015?
– The 2015 AHDF Showdown Event at US Nationals.
– The 7th Annual Wine Walk

– Becoming a board member of the Arabian Horse Foundation
– Showing my horses with my husband Bob
3.) If someone were to describe you, what would they say about you?

Hopefully they would say that I have tried to make a difference and help people.
