What are some of the highlights and successful moments in the 2015 show season for you?
I have to say that every year, being able to be involved with the Arabian horse is a highlight for me. Whether starting youngsters or winning National Championships; I’m lucky to be able to work at my passion in life. For myself and my amateurs, seeing us reach our goals for the year, no matter how big or small, is something that makes each year a highlight.

This year brought me a lot of success in the show ring as well. From Class “A” shows to Regionals to Nationals, I had the privilege of riding, training, and coaching some amazing horses and amateurs to wins at every level. Every time one of my amateurs or horses enters the show ring, I can only hope that they will achieve the success they are after, and I’m rarely disappointed.
Who has been your biggest influence in the Arabian breed in getting you to where you are today?
In naming my biggest influence in the Arabian breed, it’s hard for me to pick just one person. For over 20 years I’ve been very fortunate to be a part of Empress Arabians and the Ruscitto family. Lou & Carol Ruscitto are heavily involved in my day to day activities and have supported and helped me become the trainer that I am today. I’m also very blessed to be surrounded and encouraged by Marcy, Preston and my parents. Lastly I must say that my staff and clients continue to inspire me to do my best in all situations.
If someone were to describe you, what would they say about you?
If someone were to describe me, I would hope they would say I was passionate and dedicated to my craft. I feel that every day I give my all to the horses and try to improve them in as many ways as possible. I also think that in describing me people would say I’m fun to be around and easy to work with. I find myself to be the type of person who can find enjoyment in any situation and make the best of it!
Name one show ring quirk you have:
While I can’t say that it is a quirk, I’m kind of a freak about my tie pin. The tie pin was given to me by one of my clients a long time ago and it is the one I wore on my first National Champion, The Big Oh+/. I have to wear it in every class, at every show for good luck.
