1.) What are some of the highlights and successful moments in the 2015 show season for you?
In addition to being nominated for Youth English Rider of the Year, highlights of 2015 include: winning the Region 10 Saddleseat Equitation for the fourth year in a row, winning my first Youth National Championship, and going Reserve National Champion in the Purebred Country JTR at the Youth Nationals. Other of my favorite moments include watching the AHDF Fundraisers throughout the year and spending time with the people at my barn.
2.) Who has been your biggest influence in the Arabian breed in getting you to where you are today?
Because it is hard to pick just one, my biggest influences have been my trainers and role models. This extensive list includes: Larry and Jody Hoffman, Cary Bartz, Deb McGuire, Lori Ross, Christian Svennes and Kara Larson.
3.) If someone were to describe you, what would they say about you?
When people are asked to describe me usually two words come up, driven and effervescent. Although they are very different, I believe they go hand-in-hand. I am a committed perfectionist and I strive to excel at everything I commit to from school all the way to showing our three horses, Mojo, Westlie, and Pablo. Effervescent applies to my personality because I aim to be positive and tend to be very enthusiastic and cheerful.
4.) Name one show ring quirk you have:
The main show ring quirk I have is the tendency to over socialize in the line-up and I get very chatty with the ones around me.
