1.) What are some of the highlights and successful moments in the 2015 show season for you?
All of 2015 was a highlight! The youth and amateur riders I coach won an outstanding 14 National Championships, 9 Reserve National Championships, and over 30 Top Tens. However, the most rewarding part of my job is watching our riders reach their personal goals. A riders goals should involve more than ribbons and roses. They can be goals in the show ring or practicing at home. I watched several of our riders – both new and experienced riders – reach their personal goals this year.
2.) Who has been your biggest influence in the Arabian breed in getting you to where you are today?
My Dad… he was not an Arabian person but he loved the horses. He had me earn every penny that I needed to fund my horse passion. He taught me the value of work ethic and sacrifice. My husband, Larry is also a huge influence. His concern and day-to-day dedication to me, our clients, and the horses is next to none. Without him, none of this would be possible.
3.) If someone were to describe you, what would they say about you?
People would describe me as honest but very supportive. While I’m not necessarily in the ring showing, I am the one behind the scenes keeping things in perspective with all of our riders.
4.) Name one show ring quirk you have:
Always having a bulldog with me. I guess that isn’t a show ring quirk but I never leave home without one!
