Joel Kiesner

DSCN07571.) What are some of the highlights and successful moments in the 2015 show season for you?
I really get the most joy from helping people achieve their goals and seeing some dreams come true . It is the best part of my job. Youth nationals is always a highlight because it reminds me every year why i started this and I get to share it with such pure spirits that just love the horses and the comraderie and while competeing is important its not everything. I always leave that show inspired.
US nationals is the big show and it is the culmination of the year but also a personal challenge that i embrace. This year Kiesner Training had a banner year with 11 championships and 5 reserves. A great team gets the credit, Ashton , Nicole, Chance, Chilo, Benito, Nessario, and Jesus. Farriers Alan Hancock and Ted Frodderman. Veterinary help from Pinnacle Equine and Equine Athelete.
2.) Who has been your biggest influence in the Arabian breed in getting you to where you are today?
My father Dick Kiesner, Gene and Ray Lacroix, Tim and Marty Shea. Of course, anybody that has known me for the whole ride knows that I wasnt worth a hill of beans until I met my wife Ashton.
3.) If someone were to describe you, what would they say about you?
5’10” , brown thinning hair, brown eyes , skinny, with a beautiful wife and two adorable girls.
4.) Name one show ring quirk you have:
I love to hoot and holler at the ingate before I go in and sometimes even in the ring. I often tell my riders that the person having the most fun usually wins . I saw that Ashton said the same thing and Im not stealing her answer , I guess we are both having alot of fun showing!
