1.) What are some of the highlights and successful moments in the 2015 show season for you?
One of the highlights of my 2015 show season was winning the National Championship in Country JOTR with my horse, Scooter. This was very special because it was our third set of red roses, one for each year we have competed at Youth Nationals. We also earned two other Top Tens this year at Youth in Country JTR and PB equitation. Another equally rewarding accomplishment was making significant progress with my other horse, Diva, as we built a lot of trust between us throughout the year. This resulted in Diva and I winning four Top Tens at Youth Nationals in equitation and pleasure classes.
2.) Who has been your biggest influence in the Arabian breed in getting you to where you are today?
My mom, for introducing me to the Arabian breed and the world of horse shows and for giving me many opportunities to let me and my horses shine. She also works hard to make sure I am able to keep and show my own horse every year. One of the best parts is that we get to bond through showing our horses together.
3.) If someone were to describe you, what would they say about you?
People might say that I am passionate, dedicated and hard working when it comes to my horses and maybe I talk a little too much about them. I am probably also known for being quietly competitive.
4.) Name one show ring quirk you have:
I unconsciously raise my hands up really high, even on my small purebred.
