1.) What are some of the highlights and successful moments in the 2015 show season for you?
I was Canadian Reserve Champion on Just for Fun Wl in h/a country pleasure aatr and Canadian top ten in h/a country pleasure aaotr. I was Canadian top ten pb country pleasure aatr and aotr with Born of Fire Wl. I was US National Reserve Champion h/a Country Pleasure AATR Select on Just for Fun Wl. I was US National Reserve Champion pb Country Pleasure AATR Select on Born of Fire Wl. Both of these horses were bred by my parents. It was great to be successful at nationals but extra special to have success on horses we bred.
2.) Who has been your biggest influence in the Arabian breed in getting you to where you are today?
My parents have been my biggest influence in the Arabian breed. If it were not for their support I would not be able to pursue my dreams of showing Arabians. I had not shown at US Nationals for 13 years and with their encouragement and support I was able to show there this year. They are on the rail for every class and every practice ride. We do this as a family and I am grateful for every opportunity they have given me from buying me my first horse to being there when roses were won on horses they had bred and I had ridden to the wins.
3.) If someone were to describe you, what would they say about you?
This is a hard one to answer. I think people would say I am focused. Before every class I get very quiet and into the zone. I try and stay focused and remember all that I have learned along the way.
4.) Name one show ring quirk you have:
I have many show ring quirks. One show ring quirk is that I have my friend Dan Weeks tie my ties before the show starts and if we do well the ties stay tied. They get a retie before each nationals for good luck.
