1.) What are some of the highlights and successful moments in the 2015 show season for you?
I had a lot of wonderful memories in 2015, but there are two that jump out as exceptionally noteworthy. First, was having the opportunity to be a part of the USEF Saddle Seat Young Riders Traveling Team that competed in Stellenbosch, South Africa. This was a once in a lifetime experience, and I will forever be proud to have brought home a gold medal for Team USA!! The other highlight was being named Reserve National Champion in the HA/AA Saddle Seat Equitation 14-18 at Youth Nationals. This class is incredibly competitive and I have so much respect for all of the riders competing in that division; being named in the top two was such an honor.
2.) Who has been your biggest influence in the Arabian breed in getting you to where you are today?
My trainers Dalton and Kellie Budd of Select Show Horses have been my biggest supporters throughout the years. They never gave up on me, even when the going got tough. They have instructed me and allowed me the opportunity to ride and show many different types of horses. Without them, I would not be nearly the horseman I am today.
3.) If someone were to describe you, what would they say about you?
I think most people would say that I’m very supportive and a voice of encouragement to my fellow teammates.
4.) Name one show ring quirk you have:
I always have to have a pocket square that matches my tie.
