1.) What are some of the highlights and successful moments in the 2015 show season for you?
2015 was a successful and rewarding show season for me. I was awarded my 2nd consecutive US National Championship in Futurity Trail, and this year I added a National Championship for Junior Horse Trail. Watching my amateur and youth riders win National and Reserve Championships at Youth and Canada were definite highlights, as well.
2.) Who has been your biggest influence in the Arabian breed in getting you to where you are today?
My wife and partner, Melissa Barter-Bradley. Over the past 20+ years, we have worked together in all aspects of the Arabian horse industry- from breeding and selling to teaching and training. We are truly a team in every respect and I couldn’t do what I do without Melissa by my side.
3.) If someone were to describe you, what would they say about you?
I hope they would recognize my attention to detail and commitment to the wellbeing of horses in my care; I know my clients appreciate my patience, and my genuine enjoyment of teaching and watching them progress and succeed.
4.) Name one show ring quirk you have:
I only have one- I don’t like to exhibit a horse in a class with a patterned shirt AND a patterned saddle pad. One or the other only! Patterned shirt gets a plain saddle pad and vice versa.
