1.) What are some of the highlights and successful moments in the 2015 show season for you?
My amateur riders won 4 National Championships, 4 Reserve National Championships, and numerous National top tens in country pleasure, hunter pleasure, western pleasure, native costume, and reining in 2015. Many Regional and Buckeye Champions and Reserves also.
2.) Who has been your biggest influence in the Arabian breed in getting you to where you are today?
Without a doubt, Gordon Potts taught me early on and through the years to appreciate an all around horseman, proficient in multiple divisions. He provided me with exceptional horses to train and show and proved, time and time again, that there is no substitute for hard work.
3.) If someone were to describe you, what would they say about you?
I believe my riders would say that I take my job teaching them quite seriously, that I don’t put undue pressure on the, that I make it a fun yet effective environment for them, and that I am always thrilled with their successes, big or small.
4.) Name one show ring quirk you have:
Not sure it’s an actual quirk, but I always tell my riders to have fun right before the gate opens. We all work so hard putting everything together, that it’s really easy to forget that we should be having a blast in there.
